Confirm this is for the clown version?
@Gotno356 , @Ryan (formerly) in NorCal , and @Robert M , I just placed the order, but can place a second order as there now seems to be some last minute interest. I'll wait another 24 hours or so to see if anyone else wants to jump in.
And yes, it's the clown version.
Sign me up for a couple of the clown version.
Having trouble finding printable cling vinyl in my neck of the woods.
I'll send a check - last time I had Paypal I ended up buying a high end HDTV Home Theater for some guy in the Ukraine and American Express was pissed........ Me, too.
Tipping OK?
I would like 2 also... how do I pay? I can PM my mailing address.
Thanks!
These things are the biggest hit on this site in years. They spark joy!
I like the idea of the t-shirt but caution my foolish brethren that one can overdo a good thing.
In lieu of a "put a clown on it" frenzy, I suggest a slogo, to be placed tastefully in a small font on the breast pocket of whatever next iteration of SOC shirt is made:

Ed, I'm somewhat amazed by the response, too, considering this started out as a joke.
Maybe there are more lessons than we think in the 2016 election.
Anyway, folks have been asking about how to pay for the stickers. There will be payment info shipped out with the stickers.
And please, please, no talk of tee shirts. Remember, these stickers can dress up other things in your life besides your windshield. They look great on snorkel masks, too.
It's ok, Mitch. I plan on winning one at the SLO raffle anyway.
I'm I too late for 2? Smaller ones (2.5inch) Thanks
Tattoos next?
Ryan, you go, bro.
But I'm putting in a second order (probably tomorrow) and could add you to that.
Marty, I'm trying to work the 'one size fits all' thing here, and have settled on 3". You CAN go to the Sticky Life (no comments, please) web site and order a 2.5" one by selecting 'custom' size. Send me an IM if you need help in doing that.

And yes, it's the clown version.
I'm in for the Carlos G version when you're ready. I can win a clown version when Terry N brings them to the cruise in June.

Bob, at Sticky Life (no comments, please), all things are possible:

Sorry I missed the first round, but put me in for 1 clown on the next order. Thanks!
Mike
I'll still take the two, Mitch, but I found some vinyl that might work at home, although it looks like it has a mild adhesive on one side of a piece of clear acrylic vinyl. It's fussy about the printer, too - it would not print on my Kodak workhorse printer (an ESP 2150 that woudn't drag the "paper" into the feeder) but ran through my wife's Epson NX 420 just fine. Go figure.
I printed them with both front stickum and back stickum and will cut them out and play with them and report back. I'll have to put one on Kelvinator, too.
They printed on 8.5" X 11" vinyl called "Silhouette Clear Vinyl Sticker Paper" available in the Cricut aisle at Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Walmart. Here are the two sheets (ignore the background color difference - they're at different attitudes/lighting):

Fellow Clown Car Owners, Unite!!!
The "Plastic Car Club of America" now has our own Banner to wave!
I have one in the lower driver's corner of the windshield (the approved spot for a PCA sticker on most of the originals I've seen around here), and it appears dark against my burgundy interior (never thought of that) but the ones on the body against a white background really pop. Maybe the windshield one will stand out more in the sun (hope, hope).
I frikken LOVE 'em!!

Perhaps a flag or banner to stake into the ground at Carlisle, something to fly over the fleet on the show field.
Gordon, welcome to the madness.
BTW-1, Regardless of where you mount it, the sticker would benefit from a white background to make it pop. A lot of what you see as white on your computer screen will take on the color of whatever it is applied to, so, in the case of a windshield it will have a lot of clear in it (the clown head is only mildly translucent).
Here's the windshield sticker, backlit with an LED shoplight.
Comparing them, the body sticker (against a white car) looks far better, but I'm waiting for the facial expressions of the PCA crowd when they look close. I'll be swapping the windshield version for the more PCA-looking version (Mitch's) but may leave the white adhesive cover on the back to make it stand out more stuck on the windshield. I might also play with adding a white master as the first layer of the image (if I can) so it won't matter what color car you apply it to.
I am having so much fun with this........
BTW-2: The Silhouette sheets come 8 to a pack for about $8 bucks at any place selling Cricut supplies and I can print 3" dia. stickers six at a whack.
Mitch/Carlos: Can you add a white base layer to your last images? That should do it.

Gordon, I totally agree about the white making things "pop". I had all the same "jewelry" aka badges on the old car when it was silver. Boy, did that change when the car was repainted white. Everything stood out, even the snaps for the tonneau. But especially the emblems and badges. It will be the same with the PCCA sticker. Whit background will make it stand out, do clear if you want to be subtle.
I put my little PCA sticker on the right lower corner of the windshield. The left is taken up by registration and yearly inspection stickers in NY. And as we know, real estate is pretty limited on the glass.
Gordon, dunno what you did when you printed them out, but the stickers I ordered from Sticky Life (no comments, please) have a white background and look like this on the windshield:
BTW, if you're ordering directly from Sticky Life (no comments, please), you SHOULD specify 'clear background' so that the outer margin of sticker (outside the round design area) is clear. You can see a small, maybe 1/8" wide ring of clear vinyl on the outer edge.
The clown design I submitted has white, opaque color in the clown face, behind the lettering, etc.

Would someone with the requisite skills care to adapt this sticker design?
Change the HPDE to HDPE, Change High Performance Driver Education to High Density PolyEthylene, put in a speedster driven by a clown, and make our standard changes to PCA and Porsche Club of America. What do you think? I've decided on one of Carlos designs and will order it myself to put on the coupe when it's finished. But this one could be pretty funny, too.

That one looks great, Mitch.
Indoubadubly, the "Sticky Life" people have lots of experience with these things and what works and what doesn't, and quickly correct things to get the right end result.
I assembled my images on Powerpoint (the only related app I'm familiar with) and those slides expect more translucency because, well, they're expecting to be shown on an overhead projector! (I'm showing my age, here - nobody even uses overhead projectors anymore). I might have gotten a much different result printing from Photoshop or something else.
I'll play with it here, but you've already got a great source and they're cheap, too!
And you were laughing at my Corel program.....
It’s true........
You can’t teach an old dog new Apps.
HDPE is absolutely subtle and will tickle all the polymer engineers who gaze upon it.
I'll have to stick one of those on my son's 996.....

I love it, and I'd buy one for sure.
Here is the front static cling circular 2.5” sticker i ordered from sticky life.
prety cool.. ordered 3, 3.34$ each, and 5$ for shipping. selected white a background like Mitch.
Actually put one on my 2015 911S. ;-). Got some questions from our local PCA members ( neightbors) who hate my VS. ... thus I don’t really participate in any local PCA events with my 911, and when I do I drive the VS..

What were the questions and what were your answers? Inquiring minds want to know.
First Qs-
- whats the PCcA, a specialty subset of the PCA?
- plastic car? Are you changing panels in your 911 for the track, to make the car lighter? Fiberglass or carbon?
- could you send me the link, I would like to find out more?
.... actually they thought it was something real! Because I put it on my real car.
had to explain it was not real, official, etc... that it was made up., something my brother/ dad and I sport paying homage to my VS since i was regularly reminded it was not welcomed at club events,,, so we made up our own family club... to enjoy our weekend cruises, breakfast, and touring days/ weekend gatherings... where all are welcomed.
—- my brother and dad put the extra stickers on their real P cars as well....a 2016 CS and a Feb ‘57 built speedster, they thought it was hilarious ( the northwest chapter is closed to anything not metal... and we often get in some interesting debates with local PCA guys on the topic of recreations vs originals, fun / regular driving any time vs original/ merits of trailering.
Our second gathering will be next Sunday... breakfast and a cruise. Dad likes to put a few miles every month on his real car... and weather has been great/warm/ sunny.
Good for you and your family!!!
Just for fun, I think I’ll go with one of these PCA stickers:

So great. Someone should stick one of these on a real 904 and blow everyone's tiny brains up real good.

Hey Mitch,
This is Tom from Citrus Heights. (Gotno356). I thought I got my name in early enough, but didn’t. I am looking for four stickers(4) if you have left overs from this batch or you are ordering again. I can get them from you in town if you like to save us from the snail mail. I also want to thank you for putting all together. I am sure everyone really appreciates it. I know I do.
