Clown Car Sticker Update

Good job, Mitch! IMHO, there's a bear that needs poking.  Count me in.

I can't think of a better accessory for my car. I'm  in deep on this, just let me know how much you need to cover the sticker, shipping and a chunk of your time. Great service to the club!!!

I want several, but you probably already know that.

What is the diameter of the sticker, if you don’t mind me asking? 

The diameter of the test sticker I ordered is three inches. I think that's about the same size as the PCA stickers. The computer file should be high enough res to make a four-, five-, or six-inch sticker, but I don't know if the place I've ordered from offers those sizes.

This is the first time I've tried using this online outfit - StickyLife (no comments, please).

If anyone has had good experience with an online sticker place, let us know.

Well, the PCA sticker that I have is only a little over two inches in diameter.

But yes, the PCCA sticker should be bigger...

I'm pretty sure I'd like mine to be smaller than 3", if possible. I was under the impression that a window sticker would be about 2-1/4". We need to find out what the PCA sticker really measures and go for a straight-up copy.

Or, you could get the one for a pickup truck rear window (and I'm not sure I'm following the logic there):

Evidently there are at least three sizes. 2", 2.25" and 3".

Il take/order a few too.  2 to 2.25 for me.

From the PCA website - the ultimate accessory that proves one has finally arrived. A PCA-logo money clip, done in the authentic factory carbon fiber weave. The ultra lightweight clip allows carrying more cards or Benjamins with no net weight penalty.

Does it get any better than that?

That goes beyond sarcastic, Mitch.  You have crossed the boundary of good taste, and your comments are mean-spirited and intentionally cruel.  I guess that's why I like them so much.

The thing I like about bad taste is that it knows no boundaries.

The PCA sticker which the club bestowed upon me is 2.25" in diameter (as I stated above).

Being a member does have its benefits.

Well, unlike Mr. Carley, the local PCA hasn't seen fit to offer me a PCA sticker for my (apparently fake) windshield.  

In fact, they have enough influence over the Boston Museum of Transportation that they've convinced them to create a "replica" class, with our own special parking area, for the "German Car Day" event, which means I can no longer park with the TYP356 club's original 356 cars in their parking area (under the only shade tree on the lawn).  

The good news is I'll be parking with Prarit and his Seduction 550 Spyder and any other cool replicas that show up to park with us in the "Plastic Car Club of America" area, prominently and proudly displaying our club window dressing.

Ah hum, Gordon, as a PCA member, it's Dr. Carley, thank you...must keep up the image, you know...

 Yes it gets better if you drill some holes in it.

The PCA windshield sticker on my VS is exactly 2" diameter.  

Well I think we need a listen to Bob Dylan .....  You got to serve somebody .... the lyrics are pretty cool. 

OK, I guess size does matter.

I thought 3" was about right, so I ordered one in that size to test the product quality of the online place that I'm using. (This is the first time I'm using them.)

It will be about two weeks before I get that first sticker, so I won't be ordering anything until then.

It turns out, they have a 'custom size' option, so you can order in just about any size (2", 2.25", 2.5", etc). But price per sticker varies with quantity ordered, so I'd like to place the final order for one size only.

Frankly, I think 2" is a bit too small to read clearly, but that's what I'll order if that's what folks want.

So, what I'd like you to do if you want one of these things is to cut out a piece of plain paper in the size that you think you want, tape it to your windshield, and make sure that's the size you really want.

I'm thinking 2.5" might be a good compromise size. Could you live with that?

I'll post here when I get the test sticker, with some pictures of what it looks like on my car.

ALSO: I've ordered a 'static cling' sticker. There's no adhesive, and it's made to be applied to the inside of the windshield. I'll also be testing to see just how well this thing sticks.

They also make an actual 'sticker' with adhesive on the back that must be stuck to the outside of the windshield, but I can't vouch for how hard it would be to take off if you wanted to remove it.
