I sold my early IMC a few years back and now realize that was a terrible thing to do...

So I've been looking around eBay / samba / classifieds here and found this.

I know a Fiberfab is considered a step back by some but I gave my IMC away for $10k, so it's a bit hard to spend big $$$. Ideally I'm looking for something around $15k at most and was hoping to haggle this one a bit.

Any ideas what seal door seal line is between the door and the 'b' post on the one on the link and is it something that is easily correctable? I've sent a message to the sellers but I'm worried I'll just get fobbed off.

Thanks!

I think the seller is referring to what is known as the saggy rear problem on CMC/Fiberfabs that haven't been strengthened.

Many members have reinforced the frame to correct the door alignment issue. I'm definitely no expert.

If you use the search tool and try things like "body sag" "sag frame", etc. It will turn up a lot of discussions like this one.

If that is what the seller is referring to, it's a rather complicated process.

I don't think it's a butt-sag problem, either.  The weatherstrip may be holding the door out too far (You could tell by how hard you have to push to latch the door - it should only take a gentle push) but I think that the latch posts are mounted too far toward the outside of the door frame.  Those could be easily corrected, too.

Either way, a pretty well-thought-out CMC.
