CMC door seal question

Just heard back from the sellers saying the seal is too big and getting trapped in the door gap. Anyone else experienced this?

I think the seller is referring to what is known as the saggy rear problem on CMC/Fiberfabs that haven't been strengthened.

Many members have reinforced the frame to correct the door alignment issue. I'm definitely no expert.

If you use the search tool and try things like "body sag" "sag frame", etc. It will turn up a lot of discussions like this one.

I don't see any butt sag there (actually a 2-3 hour relatively simple repair) -- just use of wrong seal in the wrong place.  Seems effective there but looks awful.  What's with the brief cases on the doors --- oops, World Atlas map pockets.

I don't think it's a butt-sag problem, either.  The weatherstrip may be holding the door out too far (You could tell by how hard you have to push to latch the door - it should only take a gentle push) but I think that the latch posts are mounted too far toward the outside of the door frame.  Those could be easily corrected, too.

 

Either way, a pretty well-thought-out CMC.
