So after trying to stick engine back in with a new tri mil dual tip exhaust from Socal that swears it will fit a CMC because its what Kirk uses (nothing against Kirk have heard nothing but good about you). They used his name twice swearing it fits Speedsters. When I mocked it up it didn't seem like it was low enough. when I called and I figured it meant for all Speedster (insert dummy here). So after trimming the apron that I now hate I'm again looking for a 1.5" exhaust that will look less like a VW. Old apron was cut by PO to fit the monza type 4 tip--that looked great but was 1 3/8 on a dual carbed 1835 so decided to change out--baffles were banging around anyway.

What are my choices to either have single outlet or duals etc.with 1.5" piping--I'm running oem heater boxes too. Must fit the I now know--lower apron on a CMC. No I don't have an unlimited supply of $$$$ now so $600 exhaust is out of the question.

Pics along with advice would be helpful.

Thanks again,

I still have a Monza on my CMC (with 1641 cc engine).  The quad exhaust cleared the rear pan ---- but I did heat where tips come out of muffler where they exit and gently bent them down about 1/2".  No cutting necessary.  It could be that your chassis when shortened was not perfectly straight.  Swing by a custom muffler shop and they can cut the tailpipe off and add a short bent piece of pipe to exit where you want it.  Kills any ceramic coating you might have had there.
