John lives about 10 miles from me, and what he says is true. Service here is non-existent. You need to be pretty self-sufficient out here in the prairie.
Hey Stan, good to here from you. Mine is nothing like Stan's sweet ride! But, it's paid for so I'm really having a hard time deciding if I want to sell it. If I wait till winter then I will end up unloading at a bad time. With my luck I'm sure I will sell it and my assignment overseas will fall thorough.

John-
It's good to hear from you as well, I wondered where you've been. So.... the "great yellow father" is looking to give you the two year tour-- any ideas where you'd be?
I'd keep the speedster until it's a done deal. The bump they'll give you for going should more than cover any loss for selling at the "wrong" time of year.
How did the tear-down you were going to do go? I know it's tough to find anybody that knows anything around here, but you seemed committed last time I saw you posting.
Stay in touch.

I would be based out of the UK but with budget cuts you never know what will really happen.
I found a guy who helped (or should I say did) my engine rebuild and the car runs SO much better. I still think it

Anyone have thought about selling them on Ebay?
John, I sold my Vintage on Ebay back in November of '03. Take about a dozen good pictures, inside and out, and post them on photobucket dot com. It's easy and free and you won't get charged by ebay for the extra photos. Photobucket includes the software to generate the code that you can copy and past into your ad and then you can provide captions of each photo. It's really slick.
If you use ebay, when you write your ad copy, make certain that you describe the experience of the enjoyment of driving the car. This will help the potential seller put him or herself into the driver's seat; it might even set the hook.
My experience of selling was good. The lady that bought the car was in California and came through like a champ with the payment....she met the reserve.
Good luck with your sale.

I bought my wide body CMC off ebay from a guy in Austin, Tx 3 years ago. I was looking around and thought it was a steal so I bid on it sight unseen. I paid 5500 for it.
