As I'm figuring out my own wiring "diagram" (in my head) and fixing essentials under the dash, I find the 1/2" red indicator light on my CMC is wired up as the high beam indicator! Back at the voltage reg, there's no wire connected to the terminal that runs the idiot light, and nothing near by that may have fallen off or got cut somewhere in the life of this car. I have ammeter but that does me no good if my belt breaks. That's a big deal; I should run a wire immediately - even out the lid and a couple aligator clips to my ear lobes for a warning!
Was there originally a wire in the loom for the idiot light, or do I need to run my own (along the loom, actually)? And as a long-shot, anyone know the color of that wire so I could find it and do it "factory." Or maybe "factory" and "idiot" are synonymous in this case if there's no belt-breakin' light.
