Not mine but an interesting first time speedy project, the chassis is what's kewl ( not so sure about a 1776 with 13.75 compression ratio though) ~Alan

I've always been interested in those frames. Would love to see one close up. That car really is jacked up in the rear. I guess this could be corrected. Looks like it is somewhere close to the Crosby casa in Hot Springs.

I sent a Jack an email re: heads up for a nice winter project ~
This one looks like a great deal. Mine is also "jacked up" in the rear (or "dagoed" in a less politically correct time 50 years ago). I would prefer it lowered a bit in the rear. Maybe next year. Mine is also a CMC/Metalcraft combo started in '88 and still not titled. Everything in its time. I'll also include the only photos I have of the frame...not great, but you'll probably never see another stripped frame now , unless you buy the one on ebay and strip it yourself. Anyway, this will give you some idea of the Metalcraft. I would disagree with the ebay description of a "tubular" frame, in the circular sense most people visualize. I doubt if most people think of square or rectangular steel tubing when they hear the word "tubular"...unless they are a fabricator or an engineer.

"brakes are Ghia 4 wheel disc" --- cool I thought KGs all had rear drums!
I believe that these are the best photos we've seen for a MC chassis. Tnx John ! How's your latest speedster purchase doing ? ~Alan
coil springs in the rear... hmm never seen that on one of these.
IRS style trailing arms?
IRS style trailing arms?
Alan, it's in FL and I'm in MO right now. I assume it's fine. I'll find out in 2 weeks. The front hubs are VW and the rears are Mercedes. The brakes are Porsche 914.
starting to sound like the car johnny cash built on his record
You'll have the only one there is around!
The Metal Craft chassis were built pretty close to me. I visited them when they were still in production. I probably should have bought one.
