Thanks Leon,

Searching I come up with terms like "CMC original POS gauges" and "rip out ,glass over holes and buy VDO or 914 Gauges". Actually these gauges are working ok, just need a sending unit to use with this Oil temp gauge if possible, if not possible I'll just use idiot light. Mine is just a bug anyways, Gene Berg's site recommends not using gauges as they're not accurate anyways, unless you spend big bucks, and therefore more of a liability.Interesting....

P.S. Leon how are you feeling today?
All of the typical sending units are simply variable resistors and can be easily "calibrated" (at least adjusting their displayed range), if necessary, by adding a suitable resistor in parallel with the sender. This is best done by adding it, electrically, up near the gauge itself. I'm afraid that there isn't an easy way to calculate the resistor value without first knowing the cold/hot range of the sender (or Lo/hi range of an oil pressure sender) so if you want to do something like that, check back and we'll walk you through the process.
I've had wonderful luck, over all, using the VDO senders with various oil pressure and fuel tank gauges. I'm using VDO senders with Veglia gauges right now with no problems.

For some neat reason, old Jeep CJ senders seem to work well also and we have lots of those in the local junk yard.

Luck,

TC
