cmc seats

Hi, I'm looking for a pair of tan cmc front buckets for my speedster

I would like to see some photos of CMC seats. Mine are not bucket seats,they have posts between the backrest and the bottom,so things fall thru the back of the seat. They dont look like the typical speedster seats, bucket seats with the slots for the seatbelts.

Careful what you ask for Bob, I know a guy that had a pair of CMC seats that he got with his kit, not even big enough for my daughter. I am not a very big guy and I couldn't fit in them, may be better to go to Vintage and get some Speedy seats from them.

Are the slots really intended for seat belts?

I thought they were to vent the sweat off my back.

Thanks Simon, I know what you mean, i'm not a little guy and the ones in it now are kind of tight. Are the vintage ones a lil more comfy?

Replica speedster seats were definitely never made for "fat chicks". I guess the previous generations were just smaller people. Suggest doing a search on our forum for modified Miata seats, they are larger and more comfy.

The non slotted - padded VS seats and modified 914 seats work well too.

I abandoned my CMC seats and installed some original style seats from JPS. They are a little wider in the back of the bottom.

What about the purpose of those slots?
