CMC Speedster

I have a chance to buy a wide body speedster on a VW pan,the problem is the doors are hung and are sitting low. no hardware is installed, just the door hinges.

How much adjustment do the doors have?

What should I be looking for, the body looks to be in good condition, pan needs work but not a problem.

Will original porsche speedster parts fit, windshield, decklid...etc.

Bill - try the SEARCH here - there have been several threads on fixing a sagging rear end (which makes the door gap wide at top and near non-existant at bottom). Takes a few hours and simply drilling out the few rivet and re-attaching with bolts and washers. It might also be that the hindges just need to be shimmed.

Real Porsche trim parts will work (lights, emblems). Steel Hoods and trunk lids won't fit right without a whole lot of work. And why would you want costly OEM steel parts that will rust on a fiberglass speedster?
