My new  to me cmc speedster's driver door, on the leading edge, rubs on what I can only call the door jamb, the inside well for the door. There does not appear to be any stop in the hinge. I certainly don't want to take off the door, as I have problems hanging / re hanging wooden doors, much less a 3 dimensional free form shaped object as this.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Art

Hello Art, there is some adjustment on the door hinges, if you just loosen the bolts a little on the door side you will find the door can be moved a bit. On my car the leading edge of the door at the bottom was chafing a bit and I was able to align and pull the door back towards the jam side (striker) this way. I also found that the gap at the rear of the door was out of wack where the top gap was larger than the bottom. This I corrected by lifting and bracing the rear ie typical CMC but sag.
