I think the price is super fair and whoever gets the car will be very happy. I also have the wrap around bumpers, tonto cover, new exterior chrome and lights, new hub caps and so much more. This car has never been registered but it runs very well and drives well except for the somewhat square 35 year old radial TA 50s. It has bilstein shocks lowering kit. The pan is a 1970 and everything was rebuilt during assembly and works well. The wheels were custom built for this car.

Good luck with the sale!

You tree'd me, Terry! I was away, dune buggying in the mountains for the weekend, and just got home a couple hours ago. We did the Whipsaw (near Princeton, British Columbia), which used to be in the top 10 of BFGoodrichs's list of top 4x4 trails in North America. Can't find it now, but look at this and scroll down to #10-

If anybody's interested I'll post pics as I get them....Al

Good deal Jim! It is a lot of fun. The Whipsaw is completely different- forest and sub-alpine, the hill climbs are ever changine with the rock and dirt slowly giving way to bedrock in places, and when it's wet there's a LOT OF MUD!!!

If you want to get away and put the Whipsaw under your belt one Labor Day weekend, let me know. I just might be able to find you a seat in a dune buggy...

I need to take some time off from being a workaholic. Letting go of a project to spend more time with my (awesome) wife and play with my old motorcycles. I have a thing for 70,s motorcycles. I have a few and plan to ride and restore them and others. They are a little less involved less expensive and easy to go enjoy. I have Street, enduro and MX bikes. With The Sierras in my back yard sport and enduro riding is unbelievable.

That would be fun as well, Robert. This is SERIOUS 4wheeling as well; up here it's just a little different than desert rock crawling.

Sorry Al, didn't mean to imply what you guys got up there isn't serious 4 wheeling. Things appear more breathtaking at over 10,000 feet of elevation while your looking straight down a rock face you're traversing and the edge of a 500' cliff is right next to you.

Very nice FJ.  Our Search and Rescue Team was training one day and we had hiked to the top of Bear Mountain which also has a decent four wheel trail that leads to the top.  We were cutting through an area when we came across a guy in a stock FJ with street tires and no lift.  I was impressed with the fact he made it up to the top in a purely stock ride as the trail is moderately difficult.

That should be a fun ride. It looks great.
