I thought it used parts from a Chevy Chevette?

Thank you my friend, looks the same, wondering if 4 doors and two doors are the same
I remember one of the guys here had some flat glass cut very reasonably. I looked at a wide body cmc D roadster near me on Long Island a few weeks ago that has a broken right side too. It needed tons of work. Did you buy that car?

The 2 door glass appears longer.
Thank you my friend
I owned a wide body CMC cabriolet in the mid 2000's with a mazda rotary engine and 911 whale tail. The muffler/tailpipes are actually Harley Davidson pipes.Has anyone seen this Speedster around? I wish I would have kept it, at the time I thought all Speedster's had roll up windows, I wasn't aware of the rarity. I would have converted it to Suby power with heat and A/C for near year round enjoyment.

I saw this car for sale at the Lowe's Motor Speedway Street Rod show in Charlotte about 11 years ago. It hooked me and I bought one the following year. I had no idea it's roll up windows were so rare. I was turned off however by the humongous whale tail and H D mufflers but it's water cooled Mazda rotary engine was something else I've not seen since. The owner then only wanted like $11K for it.
This is mine now! 2110 cc VW, disc all 4's, Metal Craft tube frame & custom fit lift off glass Hard Top.
IT'S FOR SALE $29,500

In addition to getting hooked on owning a Speedster Replica after watching "Top Gun" in 1986, seeing the roll up windowed Speedy at Lowe's Street Rod Show sealed the deal. I was seriously hooked.
I can't remember if the rollup window option added $895 or $995 to price. It seemed a lot back in 1988 when the whole kit was $8k. I don't recall price for the whale-tail option.
The whale-tail is unique for sure. Great place for 3rd brake light, oil cooler, and picnic (maybe a dozen beer can holders molded in?).
Here's was CrHemi (BillP's). He replaced it - but it doesn't look bad on a black car with the black Fuchs.
Here's another one that was for sale
