Can't seem to find just the teardrop shaped chromed tail light trim rings, most everyone has the complete assembly. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried Stoddard (1-800-3421414)? Even if you have to buy complete assemblies they will be so much better than anything related to CMC. And they have all the stuff made in the USA.
You want to get the original ones marked SWF if you want the chrome to last and not rust in few weeks.
my new fiberfab/cmc has them rusted in the box, along with the cibie headlight trim rings doing the same. It would sure be nice to have some stainless steel ones from inda.or better yet from USA!!!
Funny you should bring that up. I bought new headlight assemblies from WolfsburgWest.com in 2009. Last fall I noticed that the lens seals have started deteriorating so I called them yesterday and they are sending new seals as we speak. No charge just a sincere apology. Their stuff is almost flawless.
Once again, the stuff from Stoddard is flawless. They job out replacement parts to factories in the immediate mid-west area so they can control the quality. Aero mirrors, license plate/backup lights, front turn signals and rear tail lights are beautiful. Not cheap but they show no deterioration since 2009.
I don't know where Special Edition got the trim bits for my Beck, but I've had it going on seven years now in a very damp subtropical climate, and not one bit of trim has rusted or tarnished.
I have some headlight lens seals that are silocone, I dont think they will ever die, but what a bitch to get them to stay in place while your assembling them.
