On my CMC the bracket that supports the steering column is off center relative to the 3 instruments.

Are they all this way or just mine?

If they are all this way, is there any reason why I can't modify things so the steering column is centered on the instruments?

Thanks.

Michael, if I remember correctly (it's been a few years), the angle of the steering shaft is governed by the fuel tank being in the way of a straight alignment. Add to that they tried to make the fairing for the brow line up on the gauges instead of the wheel, and it looks even more off-center.
I think that's a "live with it" thing, unless you modify the whole works.
To correct this you need a nylon hammer to recontour the fuel tank with out tearing the metal A rounded up peace of Oak will work to.

Then you have to patch and redo the firewall hole. and re position the bracket at the top.

OR you can live with it.. As is! Even my Vintage speedsater was off at first.
