CMC trunk carpet

I'm ready to neaten up my CMC. It's got the black astro turf from the 80's in there now. I'd sure like to neaten it up a bit. It's got battery juice, brake fluid, gas, etc from 20 years of use. Any ideas on where I can find a carpet set that will fit a full size gas tank setup? Thanks!

I just cut and fit my own. I think I got it from a upholstery shop.

Good call. My biggest thing was not being able to finish the edges if I bought my own carpet. Thanks

Keith..go to a carpet wholesaler and ask to go through any leftovers they may have from recent jobs. I had some carpet left over from a small job in the basement, cut it into two floor mats and got them bound for $10 at the wholesalers shop. Stop and ask a carpet installer if you can, they'll set you in the right direction.

Anybody remember from a few years back, that someone used a U-DO-IT kind of carpet binding? It was not a sew-on, and the results looked great, but I can't remember the name.

I think the edging was from Lowes or Home Depot.

But those "helpers" at Lowes or HD don't have hooters like the receptionist at our local carpet supplier. She's often referred to as 122 lbs of double trouble... eye contact is difficult at the best of times and she makes the most of it. :-)
