Coco mats

Vintage stocks the cocomats that fit a VW floor pan, I think they are the same price, or a little less. A must for keeping your floor clean. Not only do the mats look authentic, they are almost indestructable.

I have a set that I purchased from Vintage two years ago and they look like new! Great product.

Can you buy a "stock" mat or does it need to be custom made to fit? I have a JPS.

I would think that if you have a pan-based car stock ones would fit - why not call JPS and ask? They probably know...

Stock mats do not fit. The floor is narrower due to the fiberglass outside tunnels. Stock mats need to be cut down and restitched. Also beetles have a metal plate that angles from the floor up to front wall on the passenger side. I plan to try to retrofit this metal plate into my vintage for passenger comfort.

I think that $100.00 for custom mats is a good price.

If you or anyone else has ordered "custom" mats, maybe I use your pattern to have them duplicate it? What name, pattern number should I tell them to copy?

The Vintage floor pattern wil fit your JPS. JPS buys the cars in kit form from Vintage. The floors are identical.

I plan to order a set from Vintage. I was going to buy a Beetle set from Rocky Mountain Motorworks and cut them down. But, it seems the set Vintage sells looks like the same weave. I want the Black and red weave.

I also intend to get a new vinyl boot to fit my Empi trigger shifter(with Flameball.com ivory knob). Kirk wants me to send a piece of interior material to match the seats.

www.cocomats.com has the best mats you'll ever need for your speedster. They have numerous colors and ship quickly. Mine are great

CoCoMats.com is the only place that makes them. We were discussing the fact that you need to buy the custom cut ones to fit a VW speedster pan. Intermec obviously has some custom made for their floors as Vintage stocks custom cuts for the VW pan floors. In the end they all buy from CoCoMats. However, the price is about the same, being that the Speedster makers get a nice discount. The only problem that you may have by going to CoCoMats directly is explaining what your custom cut is, and believe me there is no easy way to cut these at home.

Maybe I missed it in the thread, but the guy at Cocomats has the pattern down pat for the replica speedsters. I spoke with him via eMail when I was lookin' for mine. I told him what I had, he said no problema, and in a short time, they were in my car lovin' the ride!
