Jeremy,
Back in the day when Speedsters were new, silver was the German racing color. (Brits painted their cars BRG, Italians wore red, US cars were blue, etc.)
My Speedster is a Porsche silver with a red interior and it got lots of attention and compliments when I showed it last Spring. My Spyder is the same color combination.
It's certainly one of the most popular combinations for these cars. I think re-sale would be adversely affected by a non-standard color combination like a metal flake or pearlescent. But, again, lots of guys build their cars to their personal tastes and forget re-sale. Best advice is to choose a color combination that you like that may have been offered originally by Dr. P's company.

? ! ? ! ? ! ?

You haven't done it YET! All you have is an orange spine, a bunch of tubes and a multi colored shell. You can still paint it any color that you want . . .

A down played silver and burgundy elegance hiding all that thunder would be a super approach. Like the ol' velvet gloved iron fist.
Jeremy -

Just as a matter of reference I've attached a pic of metallic silver with navy blue interior. Not the best pic for this but the only one I had that showed the color contrasts.

I was originally looking for black with tan interior (10 years ago) but I'm really happy with with this combo!

Good luck with your selection - go with what your initial gut feeling tells you!

Peace - Out!
