I bought a set of Hella buckets so I have the set that came with my VS for sale. They are Empi units complete with the Euro lenses AND an extra set of clear lenses as well. Standard seal beam bulbs and parking bulbs are also included. They are ready to bolt in. They are like new, the chrome is perfect and have only been used (read turned-on here) once. According to the EMPI catalog, the buckets w/o bulbs are$60.00 each. The H-4 bulbs are $18.00 each. I would be happy with $100.00 for the two plus shipping. I will ship them in the two Hella boxes. I'm on PayPal. Photo below...............Bruce

What is the difference between the Hella and Empi units? I may need to change mine and would like to understand the advantages of one over the other.
Wombat....Here's some photos of the two headlight buckets. The VW style one weighs 4 lbs. and the Hella style weighs 3 lbs. The VW one is made in China and the Hella one is made in the Czech Republic. The Hella style has a lot less parts and definitely a lot less of those "hair pins" that seem to always fly off and get lost when doing any disassembly. It's not necessary to disturb them when changing the bulb in the Hella either. The Hella alignment adjustment screws are located differently and I have found that this gives me a little more adjustment range while staying tight than the VW one does. (My car is higher in the back by two inches) Both have the parking light socket but the Hella has a smaller bulb (LED) and is placed in a better position to utilize the parabolic reflector to project more light. The chrome seems to appear to be better quality but I won't know that for a few years of exposure. Lastly, I like the prism design pattern of the bezel better on the Hella. I have Halogen bulbs in the Hella's now but will be ordering some LED Bulbs as soon as I decide what/which ones to buy.
I hope this helps you but in the end....I think it's sort of subjective to one's likes and preferences.....Bruce
