I'm considering replacing the deck lid weatherstripping with four rubber stoppers so that hot air can more easily escape. Could someone who has done this please post some pictures (and/or advice) so I can see the best places to put them? Also, I'm not really comfortable drilling into this part of the car. Did you drill, or just cut and glue the stoppers?

Thanks,
Brian

Brian,
I would suggest gluing on some temporary ones before committing to drilling. That way if you decide you need to change the placement or ad more to say eliminate a rattle or something there are no holes that are unwanted.

Glue for now, then drill to mount when you are happy with them. Could use just rubber stoppers glued in place for checking then the nice ones for permanent mounting.

Dredging up an old thread ... I thought I remembered Brian looking for these:

... real niche-market item. Two or three bucks, and they might be the exact thing you wanted!
