Convertable Top Issue - Need Advice
Former Member
I have a 06' Beck that is always garaged. But I live in PHX and the heat has separated the rubber strip that holds the top to the front crossbar and the actual canvas top itself. Anybody else have this issue?

The rubber strip actually does not hold the top on the header. The top material is glued to the header, with the rubber strip then glued on top. Looks the the heat in Phoenix has dried out the glue and it has let loose. A good contact cement would fix that after cleaning all of the old stuff off of the header with mineral spirits.
