Joe,
I knew you were going, guess I forgot where you are coming from.
we are developing a core group of guys that we know we can count on,
your one of them dude....
Gabriel will catch us at the 10/57 merge, but the south bay guys
will meet at the 405/110 merge, so it appears you have a choice...
for those who need to coordinate.....
my cell is 310 429-5838..........
David and Joe,
Sorry I haven't posted anything lately, I have been trying to find a frigging job....apparently I have become a dinosaur (lickedalotopus)

I will drive over today and get us a meeting place for the guys
from the south near the 405/110 interchange.....
Kevin, you will need to have a meeting place for any Valley people
and then we need a meeting place for all of us to meet up at the
10/101 interchange, so if anyone knows the 10/101 interchange
we need a place to meet or we can use the cell phone and the first
group to that interchange finds a spot and phones the other group..
it can work...I will get further instructions in the next few days..

OK, David, The Joe's and anyone else coming from the south.....
Our meeting place is a Mc Donalds at the corner of Redondo Beach Blvd
and Figueora....405 north to 110 north, exit Redondo Beach Blvd and
make a right, Mc Donalds will be on the left side of street, you can't
miss it....7:30 in the A.M. on sunday the 29th of August....
If anyone is in the vicinity of the 710/10 interchange by our run date then we need to know of a good meeting place, if not, my suggestion is, the guys coming from the valley who should be traveling on the 10 already from the 101, and us coming from the south will be on the 10 already, take the first exit past the 710 on the 10 freewaY, exit the freeway (might be Atlantic Ave) make a right and pull over at the first available safe place to pull over and thats where we meet....we will have cell phones so we shouldn't get lost (as long as spyder Joe is not leading)
and we will be able to get back on the 10 freeway east which is where we are going....anyone joining us from another location let me know and we will try to accomodiate meeting up with you.....
We really need to be one bunch at the 101/10 meeting place by 8:30
so map out the route from the previous thread of this post, and see where you can meet up with the pack...... If you all have a los angeles map you will see what I am talking about.
Does everything I have said make sense....Please let me know if you don't understand....
I am suggesting meeting off the 10 just past the 710 rather than just past the 101 because the 10 just past the 101 seems like a bad place to try to enter the 10 to continue our journey, see the map and you will see what I mean....
once we meet....
OK, looks like we are a week away from the Arrowhead run.....during the next week we should all converse a bit on who is going and where
we will all be meeting each other...
Kevin, are you going, and do you have a spot where the valley cars if any can meet...the two Joes, David is the Mc donalds off the 110 ok with you guys????
Dennis, Gabriel, Mike M, are you guys still interested, and where is
the best place for you to hook-up........
Give me some input so we can coordinate....
Fellow Arrowheaders,
I will post the final flight plan tomorrow so everone knows
how/where we will be heading........once we meet up at the 10/710
location, we will be heading out for the lake, so please have any
meals finished prior to reaching this location. Pit/gas stops are
a must, but we have a fair amount of miles to cover so we need to
scoot....Lunch will be at the lake....Where, who knows, If you have
suggestions, great, if not, we play it as we see it....
(I'm one of those guys who can improvise as I go along, so lunch
can be a group decision once we are there)

OK dudes, see if this is understood by everyone....
All cars from the south,(orange county, long beach south bay etc)
meet at Mc Donalds at the 110 fwy Redondo Beach Blvd exit, turn
right, its on the left....7:30 Gentlemen.....
We travel 110 north to the 10 east and we exit one (1) exit past the 710 on the 10 and we stop at first available safe spot off that first
exit.....That is where we meet up with the Valley cars who should
have traveled 101 to the 10 East exiting the same exit past the 710
as the cars from the south.....
Once we are all together we go back on the 10E to the 15N to the
138E to the 18E to the 189E to Arrowhead...........its that simple
coming home its 189W to the 18W to the 30N to the 210W towards
Pasadena.....We lose the Valley guys in Pasadena and we proceed
to the 110S........
this thread has cell phone no's for some of the guys, I suggest you
write them down in case you get lost...anyone who needs the group
to stop along the way to be picked up, let us know real soon so we
can add you to the directions...
Lunch will be determined by the group upon our arrival at the lake
bring right seaters, their fun to look at......
my cell....vince..310 429-5838

Vince:

Maybe you guys should bring Ex-Traffic-Controller Jim-Bob out there to track all of you and make sure you all meet up. I had to read your post three times before I realized how simple it all really is!!! (even though I had visions of George Carlin as the Hippy-Dippy Weatherman.....)

Hope you guys have a super-weather weekend (aren't they ALL out there?) and turn lots of heads with your Speedster group.

We'll try to do the same here on our little-bitty Southeast New England tour and we can all compare pictures next week! Looks like we should have five cars on this end - that's a lot of replicas for our part of the world!

Gordon
One of the Speedstah Guys in Rhode Island
Thanks Gordon, weather should be great as usual, this is probably
more freeway driving than any of us would like but the lake is great
and the surrounding mountain roads will be a kick...
should have some positive reports come monday plus pictures....

David S...do you have a cell phone and are you willing to share the
number either on this site or via email.....
