I've got a real slim profile one in my boat that I thought would work well in the Speedster. Don't have a picture, but it mounts on a vertical surface, is about an inch thick and flips open to hold your cup or can. Figured it would look good in the lower front area of the door panel. Some even have a rubber insert in them to prevent losing the cup even in rough water (or high speed cloverleafs). Most marine stores have them.
Wow! What an elegant design, and the outer plate that mounts to the dash perfectly mimics the ovoid shape of the 356 profile.

If the 356 was still being manufactured today, that's the cup holder that would be a factory install. Very similar mechanisn to an older Taurus, but way more "designed" and made of metal.

Beautiful and expensive, what more could you ask for?
