Cool Pedals

Hello,

I just acquired a speedster made by JPS Motorsports in 2008. I'm really loving it and would like to replace the slightly worn foot pedals with nice metal (or equivalent) pedals with a vintage look. Do any of you have a recommendation along with photos of installations?

I went with these:

Had to use differnt holes to mount than those intended as pads are larger than actual pedal heads in car.

I had these originally in car but they looked too Empi-ish:

They were simple to install though - just bend over tabs.

I made the same swap you did.

I used another one for a dead pedal.

Mike - Looks like yours is finished up - ya beat me! You don't have a left over spare one you'd like to part with --- I'd like a place to rest my size 12's. I did grind off the manufacturer's name in center of gas pedal.

I should have another aluminum pedal cover I can send with my complements. Email me your address.

You will need a clutch pedal. I got mine from CIP1. I cut off the end and twisted it a bit to orient the pedal. I drilled and tapped the steel tube to fasten the pedal.

The car is not quite on the road yet. I haven't been able to start the engine.

Then I have to put on the chrome bits that are replacing the corroded ones I removed and the front bumper.

My feet are about the same size.

I lined the dead pedal up with the other two so I have 3 in a row.

Thanks for all the good advice on the pedals. I'm stopping by to see John at JPS tomorrow and I will ask him again about cool pedals. He suggested any auto parts shop but I don't want to by something that just doesn't "fit" the image.

I do want to join you all for West Coast Cruises. Can you tell me when you are all meeting next? I live in Chatsworth.

I also own a 2008 Boxster. It's in the paint shop this week getting those 18 inch S wheels painted matt black. In the meantime I'm really getting to love my Speedster. Got a bit wet during this last storm, but it's great fun and reminds me of my college days riding my motor cycle everywhere in all kinds of weather.
