Cooling for engine

New here to Speedster owners. Have a question. Is there anything that can be added to cool the engine better? I have a widebody and would like something to blow more air to the engine to keep it running cooler. Would appreciate anyones help on this.

Is the top half of your engine seperated from the bottom half? If you do not do this then you are pulling in preheated air to cool your engine with. Many Speedsters are built without the panels to seperate top from bottom.

Dennis, there has been much discussion regarding this topic and there are three good articles in the "knowledge" section of our website, all provided by our own George Brown. Take a look at ID #'s 149, 137 and 127 which all address your query. There is good information here and will probably be helpful to you.

The cooling articles by George are the most useful in the knowledge section, IMHO. They lowered my running temps significantly.

My Type I DTM cooling system has just passed its final test and will be on the market sometime in October. It has taken 8 months to get the system to the goal we had for it cooling wise. Read more about it here www.aircooledtechnology.com/type1/dtm/index.htm

BUT, remember- The cooling system is just one piece of the puzzle in engine cooling. Configuring an engine that doesn't generate heat, and one that is able to shed its heat is the key. A good cooling system is a great thing, but not the answer to all cooling issues!
