Hopefully I am not the millionth person to ask this, but before I spend a lot of time trying. Does anyone know why Vintage puts the Speedo on the left instead of the right like the factory gauges? I haven't looked real close, is the speedo cable just too short to reach to the right side?

Thanks
Jamie
They just use your regular and readily available (read cheaper) Type I (Beetle, Ghia) speedo cable; to put it on the right means you need a Type II (Bus) speedo cable, which is longer. In fact, if you look at the factory specs speedometers were mounted on both sides depending on the time of production of the car.

By the way, Jamie, your car looks bitching!!! Love the color.
You guys are too funny. Thanks on the comments on the car. So far I am loving it... but it's been like freezing the past week and I am going into withdraw. Guess, I will just leave well enough alone!

Next up, fog lights, new shifter... (cause this little factory one sucks) and on, and on...
