Cory -

I saw this Ford pick-up at a local cruise and thought Hoopty would look very COOL in this black satin finish with your Centerline wheel centers painted orange to match your roll bars.

...very cool outlaw look...

Yah know, that satin black is growing on me. Wheels will be VERY important on that car. I love the clones of the Minilites like Superlite or Panasport, but not everybody shares that with me. A picture of a 356 with Panasports is attached. They are available in several colors. A few subtle highlights with a brighter color would be nice as well. Perhaps a red pinstripe or something like that. Whatever you do, it's gonna be a nice car. Hope to see you at Carlisle sometime.

Salt Flats would be AWESOME! Mooneyes has them.

Doh! I thought you meant those big wheel covers. Although I like the wheels in the pic too. I think that paint job is awesome! If I ever go to the extreme of changing the exterior color and the interior color I would do that satin black w/light grey interior in a heartbeat! Maybe a little Roth ala Von Dutch style stripping on the tail and the hood, small and subtle.
Paint a HUGE gloss white circle on the roof and partially draping down one side towards the rear, a gloss black "8" in the center. With the rounded shape of the coupe body it'll look like an giant'ol skool shift knob from every expressway bridge that you pass under.

Salt flat discs are a must, but go original with the eight small screws in the rim rather than the new cheezoid snap on variety.

If you're dead set on going with styled rims, BRM copies or Empi Sprint Stars are at the top of the list. Stay away from any of the over sized modern offerings, they always look like they came off of a stretched Escalade party limo.

I mean when did the chromed injection-molded plastic look become acceptable? I certainly wasn't consulted
. . . . just looks A$$ ! ! ! ! !
