Common Alan we need to see your creativity on this one Ray
Wow. Alan, I think this one would challenge even you, but the end result would be incredible.
Al, this one is worth it. A bagged roller- it'll never come around again.
This would be the grand Daddy of built ....I am waiting on a buy price, but with left to right coast enclosed shipping costs will mount so it's a dream I'll guesstimate $18k as it sits
.
Lot's of interesting stuff there. But around here at least, without an engine, body VIN, or chassis VIN, it'd be impossible to get a title for it.
Hi Justin,
I thought you were located in California, but I may be wrong. I don't see why registration of this kit would be any different than any Special Construction registration of a conventional replica in California. The applicant would fill out a Statement of Construction as opposed to a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin, but the process should be the same. I may be missing something. Of course, you would need receipts for engine, tranny, frame, brakes, suspension, etc.
.....it'd be impossible to get a title for it. There is always the right way to do things.
That looks very viable.
Oooo, now there's an idea!
oh, man - i'd love to finish off that one.
Interesting story on "Line lock in place or emergency brakes"......as this car has.
I was talking to a local guy at a show who had a decent Ford, 32 High Boy and we were discussing his brakes. He mentioned that he had a Line Lock, but I didn't see the tell-tale knob anywhere. He was from Connecticut and there, they require an emergency brake, complete with handle, so he put the line lock under the floor (discreetly discussed behind a panel) and connected it to the e-brake handle. Step on the brakes, pull up on the handle (complete with ratcheting noise) and the rear brakes lock. Release the handle and the rear brakes free up. Pretty friggin clever.........
"cheater brake"
