Wil, I happened upon the 356A coupe molds in Mexico last summer while on a "trip of discovery." I think that they must have been made in the late 70's, used very little and overall stored well protected. This car has been in the works for some time now- it was necessary to borrow an original and remold the dash among other things.
This Mexican manufacturer also makes bodies for JPS and SAW, now they also have coupe plans. It looks like mine may be the 1st one out of the chute ;)
Hi Fred,

In the past, any discussion of a coupe has ultimately lead to a discussion about the lack of suppliers for the myriad of small trim pieces to finish the car. I saw your comment about remoulding a dash from the original. How are you handling other bits like window glass/windshield, rubber trim etc?

Jeff, that was one of the reasons for the long delay in completing this project. It had been some years since they had constructed a coupe replica -- the glass was one of the things that had to be re-sourced/remanufactured. This car has taken over a year to get to this point and for me has been a lesson in patience, we'll definitely do better next time;)
