What is your opinion re: what manufacturer makes the best Coupe replica with Subie power & A.C. ?

There are only three that I am aware of, leaving SAS/SAW out, of course.
- Beck: The first production one of their Coupes (mine) will be at Carlisle. It is mid-engine and has a modern suspension. Obviously I think it will be the best one, but there is already quite a backlog and they are not inexpensive.
- Vintage Motorcars: Greg's cars are rear-engine and pan-based, but built to a good standard. I don't know how many are out there, but I believe his wait is less than for a Beck.
- JPS: I'll stay away from the quality and support discussions here. Some folks seem to like theirs.
While I agree that leaving out SAS from current manufacturers is prudent, I wouldn't rule out an SAS that is already delivered. Jim Kelly's coup is one of the coolest looking coups I have ever seen!
If I wanted a new build, I'd go with Special Edition without hesitation!
True. I was focusing on new builds.
I've only seen three JPS coupes; The first (his #1 and around 2010?) was a disaster by just about any yardstick. By the time he got to Tom Marantz's coupe, somewhere around 2016 or so, it had far less things wrong with it (powered by Suby and a flipped Suby 5 speed transaxle) but still needed quite a bit of sorting. there must be several or so on the West Coast, too. I believe he's doing an A version.
I also know of three SAS coupes, all A versions, the first for Charles Gardener, don't know who had the second (Charles might) and then @Jim Kelly's. Haven't heard of any since Jim's.
And then Greg at Vintage is going like gang busters on his Pre-A models while Special Edition is ramping up production (it's a long ramp) for their 356 B coupes.
Lots to choose from out there!
Gee, someday I hope Carey builds an A coupe FWIW, the C for me is not my favourite bodystyle.
@DAVID BAYNE - BAYNIAC - Camp Hill - PA⁷ @Gordon Nichols here are 2 more....both mine & @MaxMartens cars are 2018 & 2019 (more or less) JPS cars..... @Lane Anderson yesss, you are correct ....with the support discussions issue... after some sorting... we are happy with our cars.....my story is kinda documented here, but willing to help all that want some info on my experience

Thanks Eric - that's a nice one!
Caught up with Jim Kelly a few years ago while he was here in SoCal. Here's a few pics for visual reference of Jim Kelly's coupe - which takes BAD-A$$ERY to a whole new level!!

Really unique. That deck lid grill is one of a kind!

All correct, except Beck is building C coupes. Nobody is building B coupes.

It is, but SAS put the radiator back there. Jim had to jump through about ten hoops to get it to work.
