KitMan Motors now has two chassis that fit our Speedster and Coupe fiberglass bodies.  Fiberglass bodies have metal plates bonded into the fiberglass in the rocker panels and doors, A pillars for strong door mounting.  Fiberglass bodies are bolted to subframes ( not bonded in ).  Double layered Coremat fiberglass in roof and A pillars....If you are interested, we can be reached at (844) 356-0356,  or kitmanmotors.j@gmail.com,   Jonathan cell 858-663-3718  or Chris cell 619-889-8337

CORRECT That is a rear body/bumper support bar that bolts onto the tranny mounts.It us part of the sub frame. There is a metal insert bonded to the inside of the fiberglass body that rests on that bar. You bolt the body to that bar as part of the body attachment process.  The bumpers can also bolt to that bar ( if you put them on. The exhaust ( if VW) requires a bit of tweaking but very "doable"..

Front has a similar part (but smaller) that bolts body to subchassis by metal 3"strap imbedded in fiberglass in battery well of front body.

 

That may be an outlaw coupe that was at Custom Coachwerks a few years back owned by "Mr. AC"....There was one very similar that had the fuel cap through the hood and the air ports in the rear window....Not 100% sure. But likely.
