@Alan Merklin We are doing a "Vapor Grey" build currently and it is such a cool color!
BTW Artic silver is not as bright Rhodium is on top IMO.
Vapor grey looks cool I will have to check it out in the flesh at the dealer...
My 2010 Jaguar XK-R was Vapor Grey, loved the color and the car.

Alan,
Just in case I have to pay Porsche’s ransom, how many gallons would you think it will take of color in a two-stage paint Job for a Coupe?
FYI, Basf makes most of the Jaguar colours and that is the paint they use to do any repairs.
....On speedsters single stage 2 quarts of color with hardener, reducer and fish eye reducer a 50 /50 mix gets you a gallon with plenty left over. Two stage add about 2/3 quart on the contrast. The coupe's roof is small you'll have ample material I've only done 2 stage once and half way though thought it was going to be a mess, blew on two coats of clear ( reduced quart) and watched everything magically settle in . After a bout of bladder cancer and lungs that now get easily irritated, the paint days are long over.
I love the way this thread has drifted! Next, let's discuss carpeting or the threat of blockading the Straits of Hormuz.

Somebody mentioned silver, I blacked-out after that ...
WOLFGANG posted:Why not just use the VW gasket that goes around the bumper bracket --- and using black RTV/silicone fill in the slight slot in the center. It will sit just a little proud of the body but won't look like an obvious patch. It would cover any uneven slot in the fiberglass. Forget what Allen said he attached it with but RTV/silicon would work and be removable. There are 2 sizes (or 3?) - the post '73 ones are bigger and probably wrong ones.
I do what Wolfgang suggested, but I cut off the backside so they can be glued flush to the body.
