I drove down to Hemet to take a look at this Vintage and was VERY disappointed.  Looks pretty good in the pictures and I was told that there were some "scratches" on the front end.  Take a close look at the front end of this car.  Notice on the drivers side of the hood that there are two slanted lines that could appear to be reflections, but they are not.  You can't see it, but the entire front end of this car has been damaged and is going to require some serious body and paint work.  Additionally, the drivers door is damaged and the passenger side of the front fender appears to have been repaired, but not very well.  When we got there, the engine was supposed to be in the car, but was not and I noticed that the trans was marked as a 4.12.  The car is also listed on Samba.

We left without even making an offer.

Troy, you seem pretty familiar with Vintage Speedsters and I've noticed on some of them lately, they have a very nice wide defrost vent just aft of the windshield. My defrost vent on my older IM is just about three inches wide.

Now'd be a good time to swap them out if it makes sense. Could you please tell me what the bottom of those wider defrost vents look like where the hot air blows into them ? thanks..

Hi David.

Here is a picture of mine.  Those screws are 3.5" apart.
