I finally got around to installing my new crank pulley bolt with the 3/8" square hole that allows turning it with a ratchet.

With the wheels blocked I put the car in gear. I thought the crank wouldn't turn while I wrenched on the bolt.

But it did!

Does this mean my clutch is slipping?

I completed the task by putting a screw driver in the alternator pulley notch.

But, I am left wondering about my clutch.

Thank you all for your replies.

I haven't noticed any signs of slippage while driving. I guess I will watch for it and check clutch free pedal.

All four wheels of the  car were on ramps and I reversed two ramps to stop movement either way. It might be possible that the car moved slightly without me noticing. I was a little surprised that the fan belt held enough to torque the bolt.
