As I have shared earlier, I will be pulling my motor to install a bunch of new parts.
I have been warned by others to stay away from welded cranks - If I open the engine and find a welded crank, what crank would you recommend.
Engine is a 2110 with an 86b Webcam, Weber 44's, 1 5/8" merged exhaust, CB 044 Super Mag 42/37mm ported/polished heads, CB match/ported big beef intake manifolds.

Thanks

Dave

My new engine will have a new forged crank. However, when talking to AJ Sims, he answered my questions regarding welded cranks with a question- "Have you ever seen a counterweight break off a welded crank?". I haven't, nor have I heard of one breaking where they are welded (but I'm a steamfitter, not a hotshot Type 1 engine builder, so take it all with a grain of salt...). I agree- I'd rather have a welded forged crank, than a new cast one.
