Cruise in Cal?

Just added a few must do's to our plan:

I am just in the process of organizing the accommodation - Paying for the LA booking And I have booked a convertible for cruising..

But sure we will do the 2nd 3rd and 4th events nearby our accommodation in Huntington Beach.

That's one helluva signature you've got there, Bernie.  I think you should bring a few of your toys with you...

While you're in the LA area, you should really try to run that convertible up Angeles Crest Highway to the Mount Wilson Observatory and also through the Malibu Canyons along PCH.  Great twisties, elevation changes, and incredible views.

That could be another SOV Run-What-You-Brung Cruise. I'll pencil it in on the SoCal SOC cruise calender.

I ended up booking in Hollywood at the Sheraton. Mainly due to our visits to the Getty etc.

And Todd my son wants to do the Hollywood and Highland area...

Also we will be heading up to San Francisco and I plan to come back via Monterey, Carmel etc. so will do the coast - Big Sur - and the 17 mile etc through Pebble Brach and coast.

I know that section of winding road my wife Anne and I have done this trip a few times.

I will try and spend a little time in Malibu and the hills as Todd is restoring a 60's beach house overlooking the golf course on the ocean In Portland Australia.

We look forward to meeting you all...

Interestingly I enjoy getting out in the speedster for a coffee run - it just so unassuming - not...

It certainly a lot less noise.

Re our accommodation

I re booked at the Andaz in Hollywood as my frequent use of the chain gave me an upgrade to the new suite up at the top pool level.

I cancelled the Sheraton as mentioned above.

We are on track still for early May.

We arrive into LAX early Friday the 2nd. I have just confirmed the bookings at Andaz in Hollywood - they upgraded my son and I due to our frequency, which was an easy change choice.

I will Post the events that we are trying to get to in a Post shortly. I just have not got my laptop with me - in London now then onto Paris where I will access my planner.

So far we are considering the following....

A trip down to San Diego to see the Speedster sales car yard after arriving in LAX and collecting our rent a racer

  Big Boys at Burbank on Friday night the 2nd of May.

  Cars at Irvine on Saturday morning - early 3rd of May

Mention was made of the Petersen Museum on Saturday, we may head back to Big Boys for the Saturday night again - if it is a good event.

The following weekend we are in San Fran.

We look forward to catching up with you guys when there. I will be traveling this leg with my son Todd.
