Cruise video from last weekend in Socal...

Here's a video of the SoCal SOC last weekend. Raw footage (no fancy edits, no soundtrack) of selected portions of our cruise. For brevity's sake, these are played at double speed, but you can still get the flavor of our cruise through the mountains above Malibu Beach.

Thanks Jim. Makes me wonder how my wife got a ticket this morning for doing 41 in a 25mph zone in her CRV. Somethings just aren't fair.

you Socal guys have just too much fun. i'd give anything to live by the ocean down there. The north coast is nice but its foggy and cold all the time and im 2 hours away. I can be in Tahoe in 45 though, if its not snowing.

Fantastic video--thanks for doing that, Jim. Makes me so homesick for Socal. I lived at Mulholland and Topanga Canyon Road. Spent a lot of time Sundays at the Rock store ---rode a Honda MT250. Sigh.

I could be really ticked except that the weather down here last weekend was just as nice and I got out to drive in it a lot and loved it.

Or, I could be really ticked because the roads here are arrow straight, except that I've now found a couple just as curvy, although we're elevation-challenged here in the "low country" (where everything is less than 12 feet above sea level).

Or I could be really ticked because it looks like you'se guys really had your foot in it, except that you had "Silent GERD" with you and we all know there's a reason that all y'all put him at the very back of the peloton.....

So, I'm just pleased that you all had a great time.

And that's what these little cars are all about, isn't it?

The sped up video makes it difficult to determine actual speed. With GERD and Vince in the mix I figure the average speed was around 30 mph? ;-)

I gotta tell everyone who isn't from SoCal and hasn't visited yet, these guys have it made. Great weather, great roads, and great scenery. Imagine driving along the beach in Malibu turning bikini-clad girls' heads. It was the greatest drive of my life with these guys. Vince wasn't there, so I can say that everyone was really cool, too :-)

Glad you all enjoyed the video. I'll post a real-time clip for scenic purpose. I'll set up another cruise in a different environment (desert area). Stay tuned (pun intended)!

Terry - a couple of our grandkids were spending the night and wanted to make a music video, out comes the camera, write out the lyrics, one take and post. We all had fun in the process!
