Looking for some input from folks who have the cruzin windows and or the clamp on wings, I have a 63 Galaxie 500 vert and with the side windows up it really cuts the turbulence and noise way down and with the windows down and the wing window full open it helps a bit as well. I know the Speedster and the Galaxie are apples and oranges just looking for some feedback. The new VM speedster should be delivered in about 2 weeks!

Jeff, I have a set of the side wings developed and manufactured by our fellow SOCer, Bruce Williams @aircooled . The machining & polish of the metal components are of high a quality, with a tint that makes the polycarb portion look like glass.
These definitely cut down the turbulence particularly with the top up. With top down, the majority of turbulence comes from the rear, not so much from the side (use search option for 'windscreen').
The Cruzin window developed by fellow SOCer @Troy Sloan are also of high quality and offer more side visibility and ventilation with top up, definitely reduce turbulence with top up and look cool with top down. I'm sure others will chime in with more info for you to consider.
BTW, cool Galaxie! My son is old school like me and has a '63 that he really enjoys. We trade cars every so often!

Thank you Jim!
Not sure how much I will drive with the top up, I really like the clamp on wings they look like a period correct option, look forward to more feedback. Nice Galaxie, they are great cars like a land yacht with lots of grunt. Mine is a 390 with a 4 speed bench seat, wasn't much of a Ford guy till I picked her up!

My Mom drove Galaxie 500 XL Convertibles from 1964 - 1972 - She was a Principal of an elementary school and then a HS Math teacher. I got my license in '66 - What a great time to borrow Mom's car! The colors were:
1964 - Turquoise and black interior (289)
1966 - Mojave Gold and Beige (289)
1968 - White and Burgundy (390)
1970 - Sandy Beige and Saddle Leather (390)
1972 - Dark Moss Green Metallic and Fawn (390)
After that she went through a Pinto Wagon then a Grenada then she got a bright yellow '69 Firebird coupe (to make up for the Pinto and Grenade).
That's awesome! what a cool mom and Principal!
Jeff C............My Wind Wings are available from Greg at VM. Just call him and tell him that you want a set. I believe that Troy's Cruisin Windows are available from Greg too.
I'm sure you're really looking forward to gettin your new car ! Greg will not disappoint you ! Welcome to the Madness Jeff !.....................Bruce
PS....Take a look at my Sun Visors as well. They attach with the same hardware.
Thanks Bruce! do you still sell these direct?
I have a set of both. I leave the wings on all the time. When I'm driving around town, I take the cruzin windows off, and put them back on if there is more speed involve. Both are a nice addition to the car.
I use the Cruzin' Windows with the top up in the rain. ( I don't do much of that really ) But they work pretty well keeping out a light rain because they almost fill the hole and aren't so tight that the windshield fogs up. You still need towels behind the seat to soak up the little rivers that flow down the sides.
