CSP’s are built like a tank. I doubt that there’s any sign of wear.

Don't make me put it on thesamba. I started to do that a few minutes ago and stopped myself. I would rather have it go to someone here.
I'll jump on in and sing the praises of the CSP. I believe that I got the first one in the SOC back in late 2008 and it has operated crisply ever since. Solid construction and no detectable wear in 9 years and the better part of 50k miles. I went with the CSP because at the time it seemed to be the only high-quality shifter besides the Berg, and I didn't like the Berg's looks in a classic Speedster. CSP has several attractive options and I believe Michael's is the same as mine, a bent shaft, round knob unit.
Somebody needs to jump on this!

And if you have ivory switches in your car you can paint the knob with Dupli-Color GMC Sahara Beige. It's an almost perfect match. I'll see if I can scare up a picture.

Is the ball able to be swapped out? If so is it 10mm?
The ball doesn't have a simple threaded hole on the bottom. It has a recess for the reverse release to move up into. I think any replacement ball would have to be made for that shifter.

Bolts right in with existing two bolts. Even I could do it.
A tip: put it in neutral before you remove the old shifter and put the new shifter in neutral before you install. With a little luck, no adjusting left, right, fore, & aft will be needed.
