I just ordered the Cu Layer's Model 356 Led Tail Lights. I received a general email back thanking me for the order. In the email it said"If you have a replica 356 with modern lighting that employs an independent turn signal, this product will not work. " I have a Beck Speedster. Will these work for me? Also the email said they usually includes a free 12 volt flasher, however, they are out stock. Do I need the 12 volt flasher? For $225 I hope they work.

If you run LED lights with a standard flasher you will have "hyper" turn indicators. There are 2 ways to cure this, one, LED flasher or they make inline LED resistors. Cool lights, but why not just replace the bulbs with LED bulbs? I think @MusbJim runs the bulbs.
I did replace with Led Bulbs and was getting the hyper flashing, which I was ok with. But this last weekend we went on an evening ride with some friends. They said my break lights and turn signals were not working. I had the headlights on and I don't know if that affect it or not. So I thought I would try these Cu Layer lights.
I heard from CU Layer and some models won't work but he has something in the works for replicas.
As to LUMENS per rear tail lights. There is no comparison to CU layer LEDS you are talking about a full fledge multiple LEDs on a circuit board. I have them and had the others and was constantly worried that some guy would hit me.

Jim Franzen, the owner, is a good guy. He supplied 12 volt LED tail lights to me in 2013, so he is familiar with our replicas. His work is good as is his customer service. If you contact him, I'm sure he'll treat you right.
Your not kidding, he made a nice set for me with pig tails when we built our car and his lights have been in for 5 years and still going strong! Bet you by golly wow 
I cancelled my order and am just going to use the LEDs I have and put a new flasher relay.
When I switched my Beck to LED taillights the blinkers worked at normal speed, possibly because I left the front blinkers as incandescent bulbs. I wish I could remember the brand, but they were plug in replacement arrays for 1156 and 1157 bulbs available in red or amber. They also had pigtails.

Correct. I have had them from him in my IM since new, and they work great. Much brighter than ordinary bulbs.
