Nice color combo, priced right.
Nice looking car. Very fair price. I seem to remember this one but can't quite place it. Maybe once I get past this post-weekend stupor...
Very unique color - looks great with light beige interior. I miss the red curly VS alternator wire which seems to be their signature. Wire winder must have been on vacation or his pencil broke. Great price. You could drive for a few years and re-sell without losing anything.
I figured those in the area would remember that color. It's very distinctive. I haven't reviewed it yet in person. I hope to check it out this weekend since it's so close. I thought I'd reach out to the group to see if anyone knew the car first.
As or the color, does it look like auratium green? It's hard to tell in photo, as I don't know what "enhancements" were done to the photo. I did an online photo search of auratium green, but every car looks slightly different.
Looks more Irish Green in the photos
Don't think it's auratium green. Maybe closer to Irish green, but it's brighter than that, too. Probably a custom color Kirk did for someone.
Like Terry, I think I remember this being on the market in the Bay area within the past few years, too, but never met the owner.
VS stopped using the curly red alternator wire a few years ago (my 2013 didn't have one) so this is probably a fairly recent build. Looks like a stock VS motor, though.
If you can, ask to drive the car on the freeway for a bit to see how it does at those speeds.
...and just in time for Saint Patty's Day, luck 'o the Irish might rub off from that car!
good price too.
Pretty car. So the bluetooth sound system is hidden???
Thanks for your thoughts. I'll check it out this weekend. The color wouldn't be my first, second, or third choice, but I want to check it out in person. Perhaps some yellow driving/fog lights could pull it together?
I came across this posting this morning research auratium, irish green and kelly green speedsters. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same car without bumpers:

For those in the Bay Area, what is the approximate price for a repaint in a different color?....if it got to that point
Thanks for your thoughts and comment.
Kevin
Kevin, think you're right about that being the same car.
Here are the engine photos from the two ads:
Yeah, that looks like the same car. $3-5k for a repsray, more for show quality. You could have it "wrapped" for around $2500. I like the color. Of course, I don't shy away from color. Go see it and you'll know if it works for you.
I think it's pretty also. I liked it without the bumpers and hood straps too.
Color is great. Looks like what my car was before some P.O. resprayed it red.

I can't remember, but you're looking to buy a car aren't you? What's on your dream sheet?
You're in luck because there have been a lot of cars coming up for sale recently.
wifey and I agree on:
-black exterior with beige or red interior
-ivory exterior with beige interior
-silver with red or beige
-we also like the aquamarine exterior with beige interior
engine size? I've driven fast cars and I driven slow cars. The most memorable experiences have somehow been in the slow cars. I gather from folks on here that a 1915cc engine should be the min. But I really don't know.
We prefer to keep it as close to original-looking as possible. Bumper guards, even overrider bars
non outlaw, non wide body (flared)
VS or Beck
IM seems way out of our price range ($30k max). I don't know enough about Thunder Ranch, CMC or JPS.
The car will only be used on nice days as a fun car.
Definitely contemplating building new from Vintage; but was hoping to buy a sorted out car, especially from an SOC member
