id like to see that also,i was thinking a 80's, rotary rx7,or one of those old subarus the poity 2 door if anyones done another donor car post a link only asking because this guy i know saw my cmc and says hes got a body in his back yard hes been wanting to turn into a hot tub for years if i can get it cheap i would toy with the idea of a different donar as my buddy owns a salvage yard.

There is also an MG replica called a "Duchess" that the past president of the Chicagoland Replicar Association built that used a proprietary chassis and a Chevrolet Chevette  donor.  The car was really cool and very well built.

I found some interesting information on the web about this car and the build process.  It didn't look easy (are any of them?) but skilled builders could pull it off.

There was guy on SAMBA that had a VW bug with a AWD Subaru drive train under it (eastern shore of VA).  Seem like a great idea for the great white north.  Can't find it now - I did post once here to SOC. Subaru chassis seems to be fairly modular.

I wonder if he was able to keep the pan and run the sub's fore-aft driveshaft through the tunnel.
