Hi all; by any chance does anyone know what the base price for a new VS is? 8 years ago when I ordered mine it was a matter of public record but I've noticed in the last few years it's not being advertised. Thanks.

$25k -ish (I think)
It never hurts to call and ask....Just have your "wish list" at hand when you make the call...
Time is money to them too..... All prices would probably be "ball park" as component prices just keep on going up....
I'm just curious; I already have one so I'm not in the process of buying. I remember when I ordered mine in 2004 the base price was $16,900.00 if I remember correctly.
In 2002 I bought a Beck Spyder (turnkey) for $21,500.... They're now around $35,000...
It's all relative. Take in to consideration inflation as well as the dollar being worth more back then.
A year back in the off season it was $22,000, but it sure could fluctuate I guess based on demand. Your timing may be right.
Actually strike that, it was 2 years ago that I got pricing. I've had my used Troy Sloan V.S. Serenghetti Sand for a year already almost. I'm going over 5,000 miles this week.
I just talked to Kirk last week to ask him that question for my brother and he said base is $23,500.
i bought one from Kirk at VW in 2004 it cost me $18,000 before taxes. You are correct, over the past year or so, they have not disclosed pricing, i wonder why. I would say his cars go for about $24K. The other vendors in the area that sell his cars mark them up to $29K, which I think is too high. www.truspeedmotorcars.com sells them. www.pristinemotorsports sells them too.
Curious, why did you sell your car? I had mine for 6 years and it was my best car but times/things change and economy was bad, i had to sell mine to break even. I regret it to this day. I had my car look just like an original too and it fooled the original enthusiasts. email me sometime, we can chat more about it. jf356@yahoo.com
if the cars are going for $23,500 now, that's pretty darn good considering the jump in the original speedsters/coupes/ and older porsches in general that are rediculous skyrocketing well above 6 figurs. Prices have jumped up from $18,000 in 2004 to $23,500 with Kirk's cars. IF anyone likes to elaborate and get more information about speedsters and how to go about buying one , let me know if i can be any assistance. I know Kirk on a personal level, he use to be my neighbor in Sunset Beach.
i paid 27,300 for mine in total.
feel free to email me Ana, i like to see your car. jf356@yahoo.com
Hey TA, how's your tub since you got it back from Kirk?
care to elaborate...If not on this forum....email me dr_demanto@yahoo
Leon , how do you like your turn key spyder? Ya it's crazy prices have jumped but the spyders have always cost more than a speedster. I take a $35,000 car over a $1,5million spyder any day now. I test drove one about 8 years ago, i really loved it but i prefer a speedster to cruise cuz i already have a real porsche 911 i enjoy . I am debating whether to keep it or to save for a speedster in the next few years. the speedster was my funnest car i ever had. so mad that i sold it. I had to though.
Spyder was sold to finance the latest car.(Speedster) Actually the Spyder had more leg room and luggage space than this CMC I currently have.... You had to use "soft luggage, but you could really load it up...
feel free to email me offline, we can exchange photos. I like the color of your car, never seen that one on the road. jf356@yahoo.com
vinny, i am not going to post about it on this forum anymore until i have reached a resolution with kirk that i find satisfactory or until he doesn't resolve it with me and it feels pertinent to explain to other potential buyers.
Kirk is a good guy, he's a personal friend. I hope you get your issue resolved.
i sent you an email, vinny.
suffice to say at this point i don't care if i bought my car from gandhi.
Impala, is that you, Ricardo?
Where you been?
Annaliese, I hope things work out for you. My $8,000 engine is apart for the second time in 3000 miles, so I have some experience in the area of automobile frustration.

Hi; no I didn't sell; still have it. I was just curious because it's not advertised anymore; it used to be. Thanks for your contribution.

Yes sir! It's me. I did post a few months ago and when I tried to log in I noticed everything had changed. I didn't know how to reactivate my account so I just set it up agsin with the same username but somehow I feel there might be two accounts (both mine) with my username. I am in Puerto Rico again for the time being; my contract expired after almost 5 years in New Orleans. I am looking for a job but at the same time it's positive because I have time with my car down here. When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade!
Holy Carp! It's almost 5 years?! Unreal how time flies!
Hi Bill! You're right about that! I left here and my daughter was a girl; now she's a teenager! I don't have a baby anymore!
