I understand about "specials" but this goes beyond that. Some specials are very desirable in that they have history and such but this appears to have very little of that. I hate to slam another person's dreams but for me, this car does little.

I've seen plenty of Devins, and they're usually pretty nice looking cars. THAT thing doesn't resemble a Devin in the slightest. Not sure what chemicals were being ingested while that car was built, but I'm sure they're illegal.

There was a fellow who was at Knotts (and at San Leandro also I belive) who showed his restored yellow Devin D. I think it was his fathers car and the son restored it. It is perhaps the most beautiful VW powered automobile I have ever seen. And to see what someone did to a similar car is downright criminal!

David there is a Devin for $2400 on the samba(under other vw cars). Its in Peoria IL. Its rough but I'm sure it can be had for less than the asking price.
