Custom Speedster Project #36 on eBay

Nice eBay add Alan,  car looks great.  I would be surprised if it doesn't do extremely well for you.    I'm not "into" the wide body cars or I'd be all over it.   

 

What you need is a project 37 now?????   I know you've pretty much said enough is enough.

I understand this.  Some times the work gets frustrating as hell but then when it's finished there is that satisfaction.  (winning awards as well) 

 

And a fellow does have to have somethin to do.    And if you can make a buck or two that's also a positive.    This may continue and I hope it does as long as Alan is smiling about it.    

Alan,  When I go to eBay and then to collector cars and then to 356 your car doesn't come up.  Wouldn't you want it to????

Maybe you should buy the Speedster kit that is on ebay and commission Alan to build it for you.

I wouldn't do that to Alan .    However it probably would cure his compulsion.     

Must be in the right place, he's got 10 bidders.

My point is if a person was unaware of the replicas he's not going to see the car going to the site listing the original cars.   Alan's a big boy he can decide.  I typically do not go to the replica site I go only to the original cars assuming and obviously I learned something today that ALL of the replicas would be also listed with the original cars when clearly they are not.  Me I'd want a potential buyer to see the car going left or right on ebay.  No offense intended trying to be helpful.   

Been there and done this for quite some time..It's not in collector cars / 356 because,  it's not a collector car or a 356... it's, a replica. My past speedster projects have been in the Replica Section & have found their way to new homes mostly in Europe.

It's technically against Ebay policy to list a replica in a different area.

Well that must be one they don't enforce because bunches of them are listed with the 356 original cars. I just figured replica cars would be listed with the originals routinely.   Cobra's with cobra's and MG's with MG's   listed both places and lots are.  I incorrectly assumed you'd get to all of the cars either way.   I was wrong.

Well, we can joke about this until the cows come home -- and likely we will -- , but I'd pony up some hard $$ to help get this done.  I'd also spend a couple of nights in Chambersburg to help -- hand out wrenches, open beers,and like that.  Yes, I really would.  If Alan REALLY is serious, this could work.  Where do we send the checks??

I have limited wrenching time this summer,  IF... Greg could get it here quickly, I can fit this in.  But come Fall I will probably be into #37. I think Greg has made a front lawn planter out of his speedy and has yet to take photos ~
