I'm getting a set of three replica guages - they're the Chinese ones - and need some help cutting the holes in the dash I just had filled on my CMC.
I don't have them yet so I need to ask what size hole saw do I use? The paint shop is ready to tomorrow but I have to cut my holes before they do. Any tips on alignment? I suppose I just measure carefully, mark it out, and do what fits and looks right - lots of great photos here for ideas.
Anyone got a hole saw in the club tool loaner program? I'll get a new one at Home Depot for $20.

I did the same thing with my CMC. I used my dremel and the circle attachment it came with. I made the hole a few mm too small then slowly got the holes the size I needed to get the gauges to fit in. You need the gauges to do this right. I can send you a template that was passed on to me.

I've used a saber saw, a hole saw, and a dremel cut-off wheel, all with some finishing work with the dremel tool that Darren recommends and ALL worked out well.

The original 356s came with cool little rubber "gaskets" which are still available and make or a sweet finished look. The 914s had bigger "gaskets" to take up even more irregularities and are also still available and look nice.

Luck,

TC
