When my father passed away two years ago, he had just finished rebuilding his project Speedster.  Upon his death, he told me to take the car as it was his greatest rebuilding work. Two years later I have no place to put it and I do not want to sell it.  My condo is too small to just park such a car.  Any ideas?  Would a car museum take it on loan?  Not sure where to go with this one.

I still have my father's car stored.  I last drove it two years ago, about a week before he died.  It is stored commercially at $65 per month.  Very secure, very dry, etc., and even though it is locked in the dark, it is still stored under cover.

I'm ready to drive it again.  Some business trips ahead in the next few weeks, but I'll take it out probably in early September and enjoy it.  Though the storage has set me back some $1600 or so dollars in the last two years, it was worth it as I sorted out how I felt about driving it, etc.  Knowing that the car was wholly safe, nothing could fall on it, no damage etc., was worth it.

I would suggest that you buy a high quality car cover and drive the car for the next few months while the weather is friendly (not sure where you live).  California Car Cover makes a terrific cover that is quite water proof (spend about $375 or so for the StormWeave - least I think that's the name) and your car will stay drive plus the paint will stay clean and without fine scratches from some of the cheaper covers.  You will probably decide you want to keep it.  At that point, store it for the winter in commercial storage.

I am assuming this is a replica - which a museum has no interest in.
