I purchase a 2012 vintage speedster a few week back. Havnt had much time to drive it yet but noticed this light that will come on just after turning it on then turns off when put into 1st gear. I tried to research but wasn't able to get a solid answer. Any info is much appreciated. Thanks

Probably not.

As Bill mentioned, some alternators like a slightly higher idle speed to keep them happy (and dash-light free) at idle.  The figure is somewhere around 900-1,000 rpm.  If you're car comes in lower than that, then chances are your alternator light will come on at idle. If you want it to go out at idle, simply increase your idle speed (equally, on BOTH carburetors) until the light goes out, but don't go too high or that will cause other, driveability issues.
