I hate to sound like someone who plans so far ahead, but I may be able to avoid a standing conflict with a local car show if I can suggest a date for them that won't conflict with Carlisle. They always hold the local show on the weekend nearest the 20th of May. Since that falls mid-week, they could do theirs on the 15th or on the 22nd. I'm sure the date for Carlisle has been posted somewhere, but....

Well if someone is making "dates" they need to make 2 more. Steve and I have been kicking the idea around of going to Carlisle. I'm trading in two "sleep on the airport floor because we oversold your flight" tickets to get Steve and I to Carlisle in 2009.

Talked with Cory and Teresa a couple of days ago about it, but just firmed the idea up with Steve yesterday. Not bringing the spyder, too early in the year for that long of a drive.

See all ya all there!

For folks traveling from the far west, I could offer lodging in eastern Ohio. I'm located just 20 miles south of Rt. 30, but too far north of Interstate 70 to be of any assistance (it's about 40+ miles south of me). From here we can take the 2-lane southeast to Pittsburgh and then on the slab to Carlisle. It's about 6 or so hours from here to Carlisle. There's plenty of garage space and three empty bedrooms upstairs, when the grandkids aren't visiting. I hope to leave Thurs. and be part of the early crowd for a change, but we'll see what works out when the time comes. For the mappers who may be looking, Carrollton is 26 miles southeast of Canton (which is just south of Akron.)
