Dead pedal

Finally got a dead pedal mounted. I used a door hinge base from a totaled ford victoria and mounted an adjustable base on it, bolted thru the sidewall and covered the two bolts with the carpet. Quite a relief for my left foot and I can push on it thru right turns. Thanks to crzntub for his help.

Pretty slick. I seem to remember that ol' George Brown had a dead pedal just like that one. Makes a lot of sense, and cooler looking than the piece of aluminum diamond plate I used....

oh geeze - that sidewall is thin fiberglass. Careful not to push too hard.

Thanks guys the idea came from looking at everyone else's cars on this website. Dr clock sold me a set of pedal covers and I just happened to notice the door hinge on a wrecked cop car that had the right angle for the sidewall mount. Then a friend of mine told me to make it adjustable.It has two ears about 4 " apart where the bolts go thru the sidewall. It's quite a treat to rest that foot and even stretch that achilles tendon. I'll try not to push to hard on it with my 1600 single carb jet engine.
